Clinic Program Overview...
Clinic is open to all boys between the ages of 5 & 6.
The primary purpose of the Clinic program is to expand the fundamentals the boys were taught in Pockets while reinforcing fundamentals of the game (scooping, throwing & catching) with a basic introduction to offensive and defensive techniques.
The main difference between Pockets and Clinic is that the boys begin to wear pads (helmet, shoulder, arm pads, gloves, mouth piece & athletic cup) while playing. The boys will use real sticks, begin with a soft lacrosse ball then move to a real ball as the season progresses.
Clinic begins early March and will run through the weekend before Memorial Day. You can expect one weeknight practice and one Saturday morning practice, with each lasting about 1 hour. Exact weeknight schedules will be posted shortly, once we have final field assignments from the rec council.
Similar to Pockets, you can expect to begin the season primarily with practices, and then you will move to a practice/scrimmage format as the season progresses. We do not keep score, there is no body checking, but stick checking will be introduced slowly as the coaches feel the boys are ready.
Expect additional details to be posted on our website as we near the beginning of the season.

Equipment Requirements - Clinic...
Just wanted to send a quick reminder on the equipment requirements for each of our younger age groups.
The Clinic program is designed to make the transition from no pads to regular lacrosse a little easier. The boys will wear full pads in Clinic, and checking will be slowly introduced.
We suggest the following equipment for the Clinic program:
- Shoulder pads
- Rib pads
- Arm pads
- Mouth piece & Cup
